Book Madness: Championship Round

Book Madness Championship

At the beginning of this month, 64 books started on a month-long quest for the title of Best YA Book Of All Time. Now, only two books remain. It’s the championship round, and we’ve got Angie ThomasThe Hate U Give facing off against J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. If the last twenty-four hours are any indication, the championship round’s going to be intense. With just a few hours left in the Final Four, The Hate U Give was losing to Rainbow Rowell’s Eleanor & Park by one point. After four lead changes and a strong late-night run, The Hate U Give emerged victorious, beating the competition by over thirty points. On the opposite side of the bracket, Harry Potter, considered the favorite entering the Final Four, scraped past The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by a mere eight points.

The stakes are high in this championship round, not just for the books but for PickMyYA subscribers as well! At the beginning of this month, eleven of you picked Harry Potter to make it to the championship round, and another seventeen chose The Hate U Give. One of those twenty-eight people will win the ultimate #BookMadness giveaway, featuring ten brand new YA titles from some of our favorite authors. (Didn't get a chance to enter that giveaway? Don't worry. We've got another going on right now.)

Now these two powerhouse books are going head to head in a battle for the crown. Will The Hate U Give keep its momentum as it pushes toward victory? Or will everyone’s favorite boy wizard magic his way to the championship, a la Tri Wizard Tournament? Only you can decide. Click on the image below to pick your favorite! We’ll be announcing the winner at the end of this month.
